511 NW Broadway (in front of PNCA)
Free! Rain or shine

Pacific Northwest College of Art’s Collaborative Design MFA first-year cohort is teaming up with Portland Parks and Recreation, the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, the Bureau of Transportation, and Better Block PSU to activate the Park Block in front of PNCA’s new location.

The block will be filled with food, music, art, and games to celebrate the future of the North Park Blocks. Join us for ice cream, painting, and crafts, and an opportunity to meet your fellow community members!

A fun afternoon in which residents and neighbors can engage with each other, learn more about plans for the North Park Blocks, and share their thoughts on public spaces in Portland.

Hosted by Pacific Northwest College of Art and Blight Magazine.

One response to “Activate the Block – A North Park Blocks Community Festival”

  1. It is wonderful to learn residents are proactively pursuing a return of this “public” space to the public. I lived a few blocks away from 2011-2015, and recently moved farther north, in no small part due to the chaos and unsafe conditions in the park for my family.

Keep the events coming, even though I no longer live there, I will happily support these efforts with my attendance when possible! Hopefully more people from the neighborhood will do the same.
